A Bird On My Ledge

March 23, 2009

On the weekend I cracked open my 320 again. This is so much fun to use but its a costly little thing, works out about $2 per image give or take.

I played around a bit with contrast on the camera to see if i could get a super tiny amount of highlight on the body, not that many options but it sort of came off.

* I love the wrist

I cant wait to go to the beach with my dog to shoot her trying to swim. Maybe in 2 weeks ill go…

Wow! I just saw the new poster for Spike Jonez’s new adaptation of kids book Where The Wild Things Are. I think this movie is going to be a film that will be on my top 5 haha.

Production got held back because it was getting to “dark” which i think it should be cause those monsters if they where real, would be scary as all hell.

I look at this and get soooooo siked. From the photos that are out now of the film they look like they are very spooky scenes. I guess Im a bit of a nerd when it comes to this stuff.

Round Two

I stuck to my word, if there was comments there was going to be more skin. So here are some more photos.

* Simple things, look good

I remember when I shot this i wanted to keep things super simple. Also shooting just portions of the body not full length. It came out nice and got the point across.

* No need for skirts here

Popping A 320’s Cherry

March 17, 2009

Yesterday I got my Polaroid 699 Film in the mail today finally. It was just our of date by 1 month so I’m pretty happy with that. I have been wanting to shoot with my Polaroid 320 Land Camera for a while now as i didnt have film for it. Which I had to do a lot of searching for to get a good price.

I tried to clean out the body as best as I could and polish up the rollers which was a nightmare. So it was a nice afternoon so I got on my roof. This is where I shot Homewreckers press photos for the split with Rex Banner. So it looks a little different in the day time.

* Love and hate

Sweet rust mark on the print from the roller but its gone now as i ran another print though and it got most of it off. I like the fact that its got light leaks on it and undeveloped corners. Im going to shoot some ports with it of my friends for a little series I’m putting together so fingers crossed.

On a side note I was thinking about how I’m sure there are creepy dudes out there taking photos of stuff that they dont have the balls to take to a photo lab to have developed so they use instant film like this. This makes me laugh. 😮

Babes From The Past

March 17, 2009

These are from a little while back when I was shooting a bunch of models. It was fun working with girls that had an idea but didnt come with all the pain in the ass attitude that full time models have.

This shoot was a lot of fun as it was shot while i was in the USA. We shot this in a hotel that had a click fireplace, it was such a rad place and we had a bunch of fun. The room was pretty tight though so I had to do a lot of bouncing with my flashes.

* Good times on the arm

If you like The Ramones as much as this girl does then you know what look where where going for. This was in her backyard but her neighbours where in a massive block of apartments that overlooked. As we started the shoot a few heads where sticking out to see what was going on. But as more clothes where stripped off the more curtains where being moved a jar. Also this is from the series that i sampled the current top header. Got to love poverty wizards.

* A punk rocker….

I have a few more that ill put up soon but this is it for now but i know your lurking so if there are no comments there is no more skin. I have more skin if you want 😉
